Introduction to fat inhibitors

Posted by: Kayes on: 03 Aug, 2009

slim-girlFat inhibitors work by preventing the body from absorbing fats from daily meals, thereby reducing calorie intake. People taking fat inhibitors should avoid fatty foods and stick to a reduced-calorie diet. A nutritionally balanced diet that is mildly reduced in calories and contains no more than approximately 30% of calories from fat, which equates to less than 67g of fat in a 2000kcal/day diet is recommended along with fat inhibitors. Intake of fat, carbohydrate and protein should also be evenly distributed over three meals throughout the day.

All weight loss pills including fat inhibitors are designed to be taken by people who make sensible lifestyle changes involving conventional weight loss methods such as exercising and eating well and don’t rely on pills alone for weight loss.

Xenical
Xenical 120mg was introduced in October 1998 and since then millions of men have been prescribed this anti-obesity drug. Xenical acts on the gastro-intestinal tract and works by inhibiting the absorption of dietary fat. The active ingredient in Xenical is orlistat and it prevents approximately 30% of dietary fat from being absorbed in the body. Orlistat in adjunct to a reduced-calorie and low-fat diet can help people lose 50% more weight as opposed to dieting alone.

Xenical has also been clinically tested and proven to work. In one-year of clinical trials, up to half of the patients achieved 5% or greater decrease in initial body mass. Some patients also achieved 10% weight loss along with behavioural changes. Not all of this mass was necessarily fat. Xenical also results in reduction of incidence of diabetes type 2. It is important to stick to the diet and lifestyle changes even after you finish your weight loss treatment with Xenical to maintain the results.
