After checking the doctor recognize that her brain tumor due to abnormal enlargement of optic nerve, which is use to send information to brain from retina.

Now she is 15 and living in his home city Ohio bases in Gahanna, was later suspected as pseudo tumor cerbri, an awful situation in which without any definite reasons the pressure inside the brain builds, and cause blindness.
Pseudotumer cerbri was once an adult’s disease but now rising in children and doctors think that obesity is the main reason for this, as the statistics show about 2/3 of the child victims are excessive weight, however Ashley is remaining 1/3 of them.

Dr. E. Steve Roach, who is neurology chief and vice chair of pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, strongly believes that due to increasing rate of obesity in children, pseudo tumor cerbri is raising among them, but there are no clear statistics to prove that reason.
He further said, it was the spike in children that motivated his colleague and him to build that’s believed to be the first phantom tumor clinic in the country for children. At the time of opening, the clinic has the services of an ophthalmologist, neurologist and endocrinologist for treatment. Now Nationwide is treating 80 children with pseudo tumor cerbri.

In Pseudotumer cerbri the loss of vision is so slow that the kids don’t feel of losing site until the vision is almost gone, we have the capabilities to cure it but one thing the patient has to do is treat in early stage, said by Roach.
After taking seven prescriptions daily, more than 30 surgeries to replace stop working shunts, and more than 50 times admitted to hospital, Ashley Lauren is still suffer from awful pain.

Ashley Lauren thinks about himself that thought out her life she never lived normal life like other do, and all I remember is awful pain that is with me.
People and doctors think I am normal but they don’t understand the actual condition.

Diane Ashley (Lauren mother) with the help of other effected families started a new foundation (ihgraymatters.org) to inform people and gather money to help suffering families and Diane says that , when more people will know, the more the chances of new researches and more doctor will come through to provide their services.

Sleep is one important part of our daily activity to give our body rest and rejuvenate for further action. Our body needs definite hours of rest in form of sleep for healthy functioning. The metabolism and hormone regulation of our body are integrally correlated. Any change in physical activity or habit results in change in the whole body mechanism. This article gives an idea how inadequate sleep can cause an imbalance in the insulin activity and in turn can affect the glucose metabolism. There have been ongoing researches and studies to understand various processes in the body and those researches have revealed interesting facts. Now researchers opine sleeplessness bears potential risk of developing resistance towards insulin metabolism in the body and makes prone to type 2 Diabetes.

To support the hypothesis a study was performed by selecting 9 healthy subjects. The subjects were tested for the insulin activity in their body and the outcome was recorded. This measurement was done in two stages. First the subjects were tested for the insulin sensitivity one after a normal eight hours sleep and then the same test was performed after a four hours of short sleep in the same subjects. He results were recorded and compared subsequently. The findings and data indicated the sensitivity of insulin was found to be dependent on duration of sleep in the previous night quoted Dr. Esther Donga of Leiden University medical Centre in the Netherlands. In a news Release from the Endocrine Society Dr. Donga said that speculation of the adverse effects sleepless nights over insulin activity is quite appealing. He added multiple sleepless nights can have considerable bad outcome over the glucose tolerance. Even one sleepless night can also product effects on metabolism of insulin in a person.

The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology published this piece of work in the June issue.

It is observed in the past decade that western societies that people have shortened sleep duration resulting in insulin resistance as pr Dr. Donga. She said simultaneous occurrence of sleeplessness and diabetes may not be just by chance. She also added short duration of sleep has considerable effect on metabolic activity of insulin than comprehended earlier.

She stressed on the provision of further research to establish link between enhanced sleep by medication and balance of glucose levels in diabetic population. No doubt if this has been established, further research can open doors for prevention of complex health issues arising from diabetes by controlling the disease.

Aggression is a part of human behavior. It is almost always guided by the society. That is social structure, law and orders, less appreciation or totally absence of appreciation at job field etc. creates violent behavior in human mind.

Form the very early age of human evolution, aggression or attacking attitude was available among the human. To say it is an inborn instinct like any other human instinct for example-hunger, thirst, sex etc. it is hereditarily implanted. It is natural that man will show gung ho and destructive approach- it is very old theory of human aggression. Modern scientists says, when a person is somehow get obstacle in his target, he shows aggression. There are two pathways of expression of aggression-one is sex drive and the other is thalatous drive or to proceed towards the target with the thought of hellish death.

Now a days child or teen age aggression is becoming a social concern in the developed countries. As a cause most of the researchers pointed to the loose social bonding in western cultures; or we can say it as a cool social violence.

We can see that the children of that society often show their aggression first at their home.why? If we think from very root, we can see parents are not giving enough time to their children. Again why? – They are very busy with their job, career, personal life etc. etc. it is not totally their fault. To say it is the fault of our system of competitive society. For this the leadership chain and the self esteem break down among the children, which ultimately lead them to crime of any type.

The origin of 76.3% of total violence occurred in US each year, is from social and familial. Among them 42% occurred by the children of broken family or separated family. Beside this the rate of virgin motherhood is 13.6% among the high school girls. This is the short pen picture of US only. Then what is going on in other parts of western world, you can easily imagine.

Do you know, continuous aggression creates manner and attitude problem among children? This is called conduct disorder. Not only is that, adults also the same sufferer. It creates antisocial personality among the adults. Then it turns into impulsive aggressive disorders which mean the repeated holistic attitudes. Depressions grips if aggression occurs from suspicions or repeated failure. This can cause severe mental illness in future among the children.

Although the aggression is never welcomed in the society; it is also true that it was available in human civilization, still present and also will be there in future. But our target is to control aggression at every level of our life: personal, familial and social level at least for the sake of our new generation.

Why do humans, virtually alone among all animal species, display a distinct left or right-handedness? Not even our closest relatives among the apes posses such decided lateral asymmetry, as psychologists call it. Yet about 90 percent of every humanpolulation that has ever lived appears to have been right-handed. Professor Bryan Turner at Deakin University has studied the research literature on left-handedness and found that handedness goes with sidedness. So nine out of ten people are right-handed and eight are right-footed. He noted that this distinctive asymmetry in the human population is itself asymmetric.

Research has shown that there is a genetic or inherited element to headedness. But while left-handedness does not tend to run in families, left nor right hander will automatically producer off-spring with the same handedness; in fact about 6 percent of children with two right-handed parents will be left-handed. However among two left-handed parents, perhaps 40 percent of the children will also be left-handed. With one right and one left-handed parent, 15 to 20 percent of the offspring will be left-handed. Even among identical twins that have exactly the same genes, one in six pairs will differ in their handedness.

What then makes people left-handed if it is not simply genetic? Other factors must be at work and researchers have turn to the brain for clues. In the 1860s the French surgeon and anthropologist, Dr. Paul Broca, made the remarkable findings that patients who had lost their power of speech as a result of stroke( a blood clot in the brain vessel) had paralysis of the right half of their body. He noted that since the left hemisphere of the brain controls the right half of the body, and vice versa, the brain damage must have been in the brain’s left hemisphere. Psychologists now believe that among right-handed people, probably 95 percent have their language centre in the left hemisphere. Some 30 percent have right hemisphere language.

Dr.Brinkman, a brain researcher at the Australian National University in Canberra, has suggested that evolution of speech went with right-handed preference. According to Brinkman, as the brain evolved, one side become specialized for the fine control of movement (necessary for producing movement) and along with this evolution came right-hand preference. According to Brinkman, most left-handers Have left hemisphere dominance but also some capacity in the right hemisphere. He has observed that if a left-handed person brain-damaged in the left hemisphere, the recovery of speech is quite often better and this is explained by the fact that left-hander have a more bilateral speech function.

The results of this research may be some consolation to left-hander who has for centuries lived in a designed to suit right-handed people. However as more research is undertaken on the causes of left-handedness, attitude towards left-handed people are gradually changing for the better. Indeed when the champion tennis player Ivan Lendl was asked what the single thing was that he would choose in order to improve his game, he said he would like to become left-hander.
