Form the very early age of mankind people tried to know about the faster growth of their hair. How can hair grow faster or how can hair growth possible on bald head? The answer is simple- you cannot make your hair grow faster. Its physiological procedure not a humpty dumpty magic, which will make hair growth faster!
Each man has separate physiology, that’s why hair growth or number is different. Not only that, scalp hair can grow at different rates at various places on the head. Even people are different their hair growth rate is also different. On an average hair growth rate is half an inch per month, maximum of six inches a year in most of the cases. There are three steps in hair growth: the growth step is called “anagen phase”; the regressing step is called “catagen phase” and the last step is resting or shedding step, called “telogen phase”. Each phase has different time frame to grow and survive. Different follicle shape and hair color have an effect on the timings of these phases. It is also important to know these cycles, in order to understand why hair growth is often slow. Normal hair loss rate is 50-100 telogen hairs every day. New hairs will re-grow. Telogen phase follicles are about 10 percent of total. Drug effect, hormonal and nutritional effect, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, continuous exposure to chemical substance, thyroid dysfunction, generalized or local skin lesion and stress- are some common causes that can influence the anagen and telogen hair rate in men and women. The hair growth rate for African American people is somewhat lower.
Then, nothing is there to make hair grow faster? Truly speaking, you can keep in mind that there are only a very few things that can boost up the growth rate of your hair, only some things that will help your hair to grow strong and healthy.
First of all let us think about foods. Natural things are always helpful for hair growth rather than the artificial one. Broccoli, Fish , Beans, Yogurt and soy ,Dark green vegetable, Whole grain products, Essential fatty acid, Nut and seed, Carrots, Fruits, Eggs, Spinach – these are the foods, from which you can get some positive results.
Vitamins that increase the hair growth- B vitamins, especially B6 (pyridoxine), B3 (Niacin), B5 (pantothenic acid) and B12, Inositol – Biotin (it maintains the health of the hair. Hair loss is often caused by Biotin deficiency.), Folic acid, Vitamin E, Vitamin C Vitamin A (do not take excess, because excess Vit A can cause hair loss).
Besides vitamins, minerals can also restore normal hair growth. Here are some of the minerals you can take: Calcium, chromium, copper, iodine, iron, magnesium, manganese, potassium, selenium, silica, sulfur and zinc. All these can be taken in the supplements form. This is only convenient if you cannot manage enough time to eat properly. Of course you should consult with your doctor first.
Reduce or if possible, get rid of smoking, alcohol intake and caffeine.
Manage enough time for your body to sleep so it can get enough time to grow hair.
A soft shampoo can be used; specifically designed for your hair type. Use a conditioner after every shampoo also designed for your hair type.
Do regular trimming for the protection of split ends.
Last of all; always try to avoid use of hot water and hot blow dryers. Because these two are sufficient enough to make your head hot by accelerating hair loss.
